Werner Bischof is a Swiss photographer who first built a reputation in studio photography then found a passion in documentary photography
"I felt compelled to venture forth and explore the true face of the world."- Werner Bischof. He became world famous for his work within documentary photography noted as a "classic black and white photographer" but died at the age of 38.
"His style remained as ever- a style which deried analysis because it's only weakness was perhaps it's very perfection." -John G. Morris 1961 (reviewer)
These are some of his images that inspire me the most;
"Departure of the Red Cross train."
"junks close to Hong Kong"
"Vultures of the battlefields"
