TIM. Location Photography techniques. Lesson 1.

In this lesson we learnt how to use a camera on location with an external flashgun.
when the flash gun is attached it means the settings our automatically chosen and without the flashgun attached to the camera we had to choose and change the settings and the powerfulness of the flash by hand and eye. Moving the flashgun to the side makes the image "Strobeish"

using a flash gun was a complete new experience for me and I loved the effect it gave the image. We produced some really edgy looking photos and I'm sure with about of a mood adjustment to the set, using a flash gun could create some real depth into the shoot you do.
