Zed Nelson - A Tale Of Two Cities.

Zed Nelon's "work in progress" current project is all about Hackney; a place full of gangs, guns, fashion craving hipsters and organic cafés all awkwardly clashing together- it's the city in which Nelson grew up in which used to make Nelson want to be anyway but there but since returning he's noticed the obvious contrasting lifestyles that occupy Hackney and wants to show them to the rest of the world.

I personally fell in love with this project when I saw it on display at White Cloth Gallery, the images along with the presentation; in all the different frames and sizes, abstractly placed on the wall was just beautiful. The images clearly told a story, not an obvious one but this left wonder and excitement laying behind each image- I loved the mix of deadpan location portraits, classic street photography, scenery shots, the deviating documentary shots, the religious shots- just loved each and every image and style he used which was as contrasting and energetic as the lifestyles he was photographing.
