Health and Safety.

whilst in the studio;
  1. Wires should be taped down to the floor, and gathered into places where they'd be more safe i.e, not in the middle of the floor, off to the side where people will be less likely to trip over them.
  2. If in low key lighting, keep a torch on your person so that you can safely find the lights without danger of falling or walking into things.
  3. If using props make sure to put them away after use and store them neatly in order to avoid getting them broken and avoid people falling over them.
  4. make sure to turn off all lighting equipment after use and never leave the clients such as little children in the studio room with the lighting to avoid any danger of them exploring and hurting themselves.
  5. if any chairs are around, make sure they tucked under tables/out of the way to avoid anyone falling over them or tripping on the legs.
Whilst in the darkroom;
  1. Keep torches at hand so you can always find your way out of the room safely.
  2. only allow a certain amount of people in the room at a time to avoid over crowding and people then being unaware of there surroundings- people must be able to see clearly around the room to avoid any chemical spillages.
  3. always wear gloves when handing the chemicals.
Whilst outdoors;
  1. Be aware of the roads and cars.
  2. be considerate of other people; if they don't want their photo taken if they do etc.
  3. bring a camera bag incase of sudden weather changes.
  4. use the camera strap around your neck to avoid it getting knocked out of your hand.
